How much can a nurse make per hour in South Carolina?

CNAs, LPNs, and RNs:

Our findings indicate that the standard hourly wage for CNAs in South Carolina stands at $18.40. However, this average can vary based on your city! While Columbia, Greenville, and Florence average between $15-$17 an hour, Charleston is as high as $19. Knowing this allows you to control this shifts you see and bid on using the mileage feature in the DirectCare Shifts app!

If you are a LPN in South Carolina, you will find the average hourly rate is $28.50. Much like for CNAs, this does vary based on where you are. We see Greenville and Columbia sitting just slightly below the average while Florence is right on target at $28.50. Charleston again pays the highest at an average of $31. Much like what we’ve seen and described for CNAs and LPNs, RNs have similar differences in which city pays what. The average pay rate for an RN working PRN shifts in South Carolina is $41.50. Our research shows that Greenville sits just below that average at $40.50 while Columbia, Florence and Charleston all pay at the state average of $41.50.
